Media library

The media library holds your organisation’s website images and logos, so your team can reuse them instead of uploading them again for every event.

To open it, select Media library in the Libraries section of the sidebar. You need the Edit event pages or Manage the brand library permission.

Every image you upload anywhere in Mint is added to the media library automatically, including images you upload while building a page.

  1. Open the media library

Select Media library in the sidebar.

  2. Select “Upload images”

You can choose several images at once.

  3. Check the message

Mint tells you how many images were added, and which ones were already in the library.

You can upload PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP and SVG images of up to 5 MB each. Images uploaded while Logos is selected are filed as logos.

The media library never stores the same image twice. If you upload an image that’s already there, Mint doesn’t make a copy: it uses the one already in the library and tells you its name. This works even if the file has a different name on your computer.

Only an exact copy of the file counts as the same image. An image that has been edited, resized or saved again in another format is stored as a new image.

Each image is filed as an Image or a Logo. Use All, Images and Logos at the top of the library to choose what’s shown, and the search box to find an image by name.

To change how an image is filed, select ⋯ on it, then File as logo or File as image.

Images you upload into a logo field, such as a brand kit’s logos or the logo in an event page’s theme, are filed as logos.

Image fields have two buttons for adding an image:

Button What it does
Upload Uploads an image from your computer and adds it to the media library. If it’s already there, the library’s copy is used
Media library Opens the media library so you can choose an image your team has already uploaded

You’ll find them on the Image block in the event page designer, and on other image fields such as the hero block’s background, speaker photos, the event’s cover image, the theme’s logo, brand kit logos and hub images. Logo fields open the media library on Logos.

You can also paste an image’s web address, or select Search to find a photo on Unsplash or a GIF on Giphy. These aren’t added to the media library.

Select ⋯ on an image to:

  • Copy link: copy the image’s web address, for example to use it somewhere outside Mint
  • Rename: change the name shown in the library. Pages that use the image aren’t affected
  • Delete: remove the image from the library

People with the Manage the brand library permission can delete any image. Everyone else can delete only the images they uploaded.
